
YORK, Penn. — York Wallcoverings has been acquired by Industrial Opportunities Partners, an Evanston, Ill.-based private equity firm, for an undisclosed sum.
Industrial Opportunities Partners also owns Brewster Home Fashions and Fine Décor, both of which produce wallcovering, flooring and home décor products and are headquartered in Randolph, Mass., and Manchester, U.K., respectively. The three organizations will be united under a new overarching entity, The Bersham Group.
Paul Feinstein, current CEO of Brewster, will assume the role of CEO of The Bersham Group. The new relationship will allow all three businesses to leverage their respective expertise while expanding their operational facilities, supply chain capability and distribution reach in North America, Europe and elsewhere around the world, York said in a release.
“Through collaboration, the global brands that comprise the Bersham Group will have access to more facilities, resources and operations that will position them for even greater opportunities,” Feinstein said. “We are in a unique position to deliver more choices and innovative decorative products across all segments of the marketplace, along with enhanced service, ultimately yielding a more positive experience and additional opportunities for our customers.”
The Bersham Group will continue to support all of the brands that York Wallcoverings, Brewster Home Fashions and Fine Décor carry. These include include York Wallcoverings, Roommates Décor, York Contract, Hytex, A-Street Prints, Wallpops and Fine Décor.
Feinstein concluded, “We look forward to building on the momentum that the wallcoverings and interiors industry have seen in the last few years. While we are extremely proud of what these individual companies have achieved in the past, we are most excited about the future of The Bersham Group.”
