Home vs. Hunger is the first independently organized partnership between Gift for Life and the home industry.
Gift for Life is preparing to launch a new charitable initiative during the 2022 fall High Point Market in partnership with home industry leaders.
Called Home vs. Hunger, the new initiative will raise funds for World Central Kitchen’s crisis-related hunger relief programs and bring Gift for Life to High Point Market on a regular basis.
“This is the first independently organized partnership between Gift for Life and the home industry,” explained Cole Daugherty, chair of Gift for Life. “We’re delighted to partner with industry-leading home manufacturers and market-makers to expand our fundraising for World Central Kitchen.”
The first Home vs. Hunger event starts at 6 p.m. on Oct. 21 in the Eichholtz showroom at 129 South Hamilton St. in High Point, N.C. Launch committee members will share information about World Central Kitchen and Gift for Life’s fundraising for the charitable organization over refreshments and light bites. Retailers, manufacturers and sales agencies interested in learning more should RSVP to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Home vs Hunger launch committee members include the following home industry professionals:
- Sharon Davis, ART
- Jen Dolan, Arteriors
- Jenny Heinzen York, Currey & Co.
- Jonathan Cochran, Eichholtz
- Chris Amos, International Market Centers
- Mark Furlet, International Market Centers
- Russ Jones, Ivystone
- Douglas Self, J. Douglas
- Sandra Standefer, Loloi Rugs
“The home industry has a big heart,” commented Jones, co-chair of the Home vs. Hunger committee and a Gift for Life board member. “Many individuals and organizations are eager and willing to help. This gives us a platform from which we can launch and grow.”
During fall 2022 High Point Market, Arteriors, Eichholtz, Currey & Co., Loloi Rugs and others will lead Home vs Hunger marketing campaigns from their showrooms. Donations can be made online before, during and after the event.
Following the October launch, a series of ongoing fundraising activities are set to be planned by Home vs. Hunger’s organizing committee.
