Morris & Co., the British heritage home furnishings brand, has introduced its first collaboration with McGee & Co.
The exclusive collection of wallpaper and fabrics in classic Morris & Co. patterns has been reimagined in new McGee & Co. color palettes. The collection includes iconic designs such as Pimpernel, Marigold, Sunflower and Willow recolored in chalky hues of Raw Umber, Sepia Rose, Mulled Basil and India Ink. It will be sold exclusively online through McGee & Co. beginning this month.
“The whole Morris & Co. design team have simply adored working with [McGee & Co. founder] Shea McGee to put together this exclusive fabric and wallpaper collection,” Claire Vallis, Sanderson Design Group’s creative director, said. “We’ve really appreciated Shea’s energy and love for the historic William Morris designs. It is always rewarding to see these archive patterns in the hands of the next generation of leading interior designers, and we cant wait to deliver these truly beautiful reinterpretations to audiences far and wide.”
Vallis and her team collaborated with McGee, selecting a series of iconic Morris & Co. patterns for recoloration. Several patterns are designs that Shea has used in previous interiors projects. The ability to play with colors in these patterns brought new inspiration to the Studio McGee team.
